The elementary charge in statcoulombs and other units
Older physics texts use Gaussian units, where charge is measured in statcoulombs (esu). One statcoulomb is exactly 1/(10c) coulomb with c in m/s, so e in esu is exact.

| Unit | Value | |
|---|---|---|
| statC statcoulombs (esu) | 4.803 204 712 57 × 10−10 | exact |
| nC nanocoulombs | 1.602 176 634 × 10−10 | exact |
| mAh milliampere hours | 4.450 490 65 × 10−20 | exact |
How it is computed: 1.602 176 634 × 10⁻¹⁹ C × 2 997 924 580 statC/C = 4.803 204 712 57 × 10−10.
All values computed from the CODATA 2022 value and unit definitions (SI Brochure, NIST SP 811). Exact values are rounded only for display. Checks.
